Anyone else get an email saying ‘due to operational requirements’ your start state has been pushed back?

What was your initial start date and what date have you been pushed back to ?

It was 12th December and now it’s 14th Feb

Omg! Did they state in the email what was the reason ? Have you done all your references and dbs check ? Who is your reference company?

BA just said ‘due to operational requirements’. Nothing to do with my checks, that has been moving along fine got an email the other day saying I’m moving on to stage 2 with Security Watchdog

This is due to having too many crew over the winter period and a reduction in flying, They've have to cancel some routes with the ongoing 787 engine problems as well

Unpaid leave has been offered to current crew for 3-5 Months during November to March.

Therefore no new recruitment is required until early next year as there is already limited work for the current crew.
