Hi all

Haven't been on this forum for a while so good to see it's still very active.

I have a question (and think I may know the answer). Is there any potential to work part time as Cabin Crew on Mixed Fleet - maybe not now but after a qualifying period? I have an AD in a couple of weeks to just wanted to check first.

Thanks and good luck all

You can apply for part time working once you have been there (think it might be a year) You have to go through a "right to request' where it is reviewed and assessed by one of the area managers - usually it has to be for a reason, caring for relative, etc.. They review it and it also comes down to numbers and whether they can accommodate (so you're best applying in Winter when demand for crew is less) You can apply for 75% (one week off, three on) or 50%. They let you know the decision by letter. But if they say no, i think you can't re-apply for another year. So it can be hot or miss and just your luck sometimes..dpeends on when you apply.. and who looks at your request. Loads of folk do part time so it's def possible,

Hey,

I'm hoping someone could help me with this question. I want to apply for the BA MF position but my height is letting me down by 1cm. I am able to reach the vertical functional reach requirement. Would they send me home?

Unfortunately, I think they would.
On my assessment day, there were a couple of people sent home for being too short or too tall. One guy was only half an inch too tall and he was sent home straight away.

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone on here commutes from different places in the UK? I am currently living in Manchester and start my training on the 4th Sept with Skypeople and the 12th Sept with BA. Anyone else on that training? I was just looking for a little advise in terms of living places? Is it feasible to commute after training? (I have somewhere to stop close by when training). Rent in and around London/ Heathrow seems so high!! Any friendly advise would be amazing!!
Thank you
