I was invited to a BA assessment day but decided that I just wouldn't earn enough to survive with BA despite how much I'd love the job.

don't forget, a lot of these people enter the job knowing what they will earn but somehow expecting more, they rent flats in London that by no means they can afford and expect a luxury lifestyle of a pilot but are cabin crew (obviously not all), as long as you budget well and be realistic you will be fine, I know plenty of cabin crew who earn more than enough to live from, you need to go with your gut and not the media, I really hope you take the opportunity, if not for the experience of the AD alone x

Runway rooms offer good cheap accommodation for training courses at Heathrow

Hi all.

I've got a start date for the 25th January, have had my US visa appointment and am now waiting for my medical/uniform fitting at the end of the month. In an email, it says to wait until prompted by BA or a third party supplier to apply for the criminal record check, but can anyone advise me of when I should expect this? I don't want to leave it till the last minute in case it takes forever for the certificate to arrive.
