Mixed Fleet Destinations update at Present
profile image
atansley
As mentioned above, you CANNOT move from MF to WW or EF as these are legacy fleets now with different pay and working arrangements. If you want to work for BA out of Heathrow then mixed fleet is the only option going.

Routes do often move between fleets due to operational demands and as time goes by and people leave EF & WW more routes will move to mixed fleet.

Although if I were you i'd have a serious think about your motivations for doing this job, it's not really about the glamour. You don't seem to have quite the right attitude for someone who has been offered a job that most can only dream of and it may well rub people who have been trying for years up the wrong way a little, just some friendly advice.

Would anyone be so kind as to mention which aircraft type are used on each route?

So no more work to be transferred to MF....Two EF trips return for the winter season, and for one month only they get the DEN back .....So recruiting all year and courses until DEC, says to me it's back filling those that are leaving in their droves....looks like the MF honeymoon period is looking quite bleak. The inexperience will become the norm, and the CSM will be continually training new entrants....

No new routes but with CPT going to double daily it represents an increase in crew needed. Lots of people leaving though....

I posted elsewhere asking whether as former MF crew I was allowed/eligible to reapply? I am going back to the UK in December but only if I can still fly. Are the numbers of leavers really that high or is recruitment really more in line with needing more numbers for A380, increased frequencies.....
Anyway, just seeing how the land lies in case I do/can go back to the UK. Comments welcomed. Kind regards.

Pretty sure you can re-apply. I've flown with people who have left and then come back? And I think it'd a genuine mix of reasons but one thing for sure it there are a lot of people leaving...

Thanks. I will send of a (re)application and see what happens...

Is this current recruitment for 777/747 or 380/747 (I was told 380 crew drop 777)
Curious how that is being organized.

777/747. Everyone on the 380 has been with BA at least a year I believe. Could all change soon. One of the rumours is that Miami will be a 380 route sooner or later,
