Hello BA members.

I would like to invite opinions and suggestions as to the running of your forum.

Until this point I have been running the forum based on the late BA Moderators methods, ie. only allowing new threads where a new topic has not been covered before.
This has kept the forum tidy with the minimum of new threads starting and similar subjects have been grouped together.

I am happy to stop doing this but before you recommend doing so, take a look at the Middle East forum where there can be 50 new threads started for the same subject. This is a clear example of a forum being allowed to 'moderate' itself.

I'll be honest, it would be easier for me but I fear the ultimate result will be a significant increase of irrelevant posts with less engagement of the members.

I think that the way you moderate and organise the forum is spot on. I have been reading it for a couple of years now during my latest couple of attempts to get a flying job with BA and it has been really useful to me. I am pleased to say that I have just been offered a job at LGW. I would like to say thanks for all your hard work in keeping things tidy and easy to read. I will continue to visit albeit as BA crew rather than a wannabe!!!

Agree ! To go through 800 pages to find something is pain and also makes no sense coz some info is outdated ! Let us post new topics as we wish !

Your question will be answered if it is placed in the correct thread.

You can also use the search facility.

The long term members of the BA forum contacted me as they were sick of people who had just registered (you don't fall into this category) posting questions rather than spending a couple of minutes using the search function.

I think posts should only be allowed if its not covered in another post etc.. as it is very annoying to not know exactly where to post a reply or item as its all spread out
