I'm in the same boat as you! I'm learning now but in the past I've just not seen the point in driving, but now I realise that it would be beneficial to have a license and wish I'd have done my driving a lot earlier.

Do you have a provisional? You could get away with that if you do, and just say you're currently learning to drive and hoping to pass in the next few weeks or something.

I didn't even know bmi Regional were still recruiting people though - with bmi itself going to BA.

Good luck!

I work for BMI regional, and yes you do need a full driving licence as sometimes we have to drive to different bases before or after flights to night stop, hope this helps. Also know they won't offer you a job if you don't have one

I emailed them on 4 September with my CV, and 4 days later, I received a reply, asking me to fill out the attached application forms, and to send them in, along with a cover letter and recent full-length photo. They posted on their website that they were hiring Cabin Crew, but the closing date was 12 September, so I wanted to make sure I sent my CV in right away.

I am waiting to hear from them now, as it took a bit of time to fill out all the forms.

Did you apply?

Don't know; they just state "a competitive salary". You do get pay scale increases and concessionary travel after a qualifying period. You get a company pension scheme as well as a total of 38 days annual leave per year, made up of 30 annual leave plus 8 days in lieu of public holidays.
