Hi people I’d just like to confirm wether male crew are being hired by Emirates at the moment or not? Because 2 of my male friends attend a recent OD in Eindhoven, Netherlands were they told me there was more or less 20 male candidates and 25 female crew. So quite an even ratio but none of the male candidates made it past the group stage which was very peculiar as they apparently generally did well on the group stages. Is it because they’re not hiring male crew at the moment or only Arab speaking males? Because it’s such a weird situation they went through.

They have a quota like all airlines in the ME. They take based on that quota. Don’t think too much about male/female ratio. It’s all a game of luck.

you may be right. I just had mine and i was the only male in made it to Final Interview, and got the GC. still must say that other male candidates were very good as well.
