Cabin crew travelling and training.

Hello, hope you’re all well and safe!

I’ve started this topic in order to find out more information about the life/routine of a crew member. If anyone has any tips or information that they think will be helpful for other then please feel free to share...

1. Has anyone ever travelled to and from work via public transport such as train or bus? Although it’s more reliable/easier to drive in most cases, I want to hear some of your experiences if so?

2. What did you enjoy most about your training and why?

3. What’s your favourite memory that you have from being a crew member?

Hope to hear from you soon, Kayla x

Yes, my first few years as cabin crew - I used the London buses and underground to get to work at LHR. Of course, it is much easier by car and was glad to get my driving license, but it is not completely impossible. Just make sure you allow extra travel time in case of any delays and be super organised.

Training - I think the bonds you make with your batchmates are probably the most important thing. After all, you are all thrown into this together and it's tough! I would also say, it's the first time you realise what your job is really about and it's not tea and coffee....you are a safety professional.

Too many too count! The camaraderie between crew members is not like any other job...Lots of great crew moments downroute and onboard the aircraft. Being able to visit other countries and have a nice meal out, walk around and just experience local life...
