I have a question about the 6 week course structure and which weekends we are committed to course time and which ones we get off. I start training on 7th April and both Easter and May Day fall in that time and I just wanted to plan ahead. I'm guessing the course structure is pretty fixed and planned. Any information anyone has would be very helpful.

I know it's a bit too early to ask, but when do you think BA is going to start recruiting again for new entrant cabin crew? Sure is going to be after all the pandemic situation is going to finish, however from my understanding lots of crew on old contract have chosen to take redundancy, so maybe BA will run out of crew and will recruit again in the near future?

Also, can any current crew shade some lights about the new contract? What has changed? I read that for new entrant and mixed fleet crew there have been improvements. I found that the new base salary for Cabin Crew is £16000 for the first year, increasing to £17000 afterwards.. What about the old elepased hour rate of 3.14 per hour? Can anyone explain what are the current flying allowance and how they work??

I look forward to apply for heathrow cabin crew fleet xxx

Unfortunately it doesn't look like any new entrant NEM courses will take place until late 2021, early 2022 at the very earliest, and these courses will be filled with the nearly 1500 candidates currently in the holding pool, before external recruitment restarts.

Correct, lots of WW and EF crew did chose to take voluntary redundancy, however the operation is still over-crewed, with a large number of crew still on furlough.

Yeah, for new entrant crew to what was formerly known as Mixed Fleet, there has been a small increase in basic pay (16k for New entrants, 17k for current crew), as far as i'm aware EHR remains unchanged, hopefully a current crew member can clear that up though.

Have you worked for BA and have taken voluntary redundancy or made redundant ?

Many crew who were made redundant in Gatwick (over 800) are in a priority return pool… not expecting them to need more than that any time soon, but who knows
