In common with many other large companies, Thomson has a dedicated social media department which monitors activity on all major social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter.

From the moment you apply, you could potentially be representing the company and your postings, photographs or comments will be seen by this department if there is any reference to Thomson or TUI, even if they 'used to' be your employer.

Indeed, they are probably having a little snigger right now as this warning will have just popped up on their screen.

If you post anything likely to bring the company into disrepute*, no matter where you are within the recruitment process:
+ You will not be interviewed.
+ You will not receive a job offer.
+ If you have received a job offer, the company will not take you on.
+ If you start working for the company you will be dismissed.
+ If you have been with the company from 1 day to 30 years, you will be dismissed.

The company is fiercely protective of its image and will not allow ANYONE to damage this.

*disrepute can be anything from posting pictures on Facebook in uniform to moaning about passengers on a flight.
