I am in my mid 50's and after retirement from the police, I am due to start with BA as cc fairly soon. In the queue for my US visa the other day, I got chatting to a chap of a similar vintage and asked why he was going to The States. Turns out that after a career in the fire service he was soon to start as cc with Virgin. Small world eh?

Just to say to those who may be thinking of applying for cc and worry that age might be against you, it isn't. No, we may not be as fresh faced as we once were, but we have a wealth of experience behind us, qualities and people skills that airlines value greatly. So go for it.
