Aer Lingus Manchester summer 2021

It's meant to be long term by the sounds of it. The slots news out of Manchester suggests JFK and Orlando will continue in the winter and rumours of Caribbean routes too. The non-flying roles they've hired for are permanent too.

Do you think its worth applying without any previous cabin crew experience or an attestation? I know the requirements ask for this, will I likely receive an instant rejection? I imagine the competition will be strong given the circumstances.
Good luck everybody

Unfortunately, since the requirements specifically state that a CCA is required, you’ll be rejected at this stage.

Does anyone have any ideas on how many crew they would need?

Doing some simple maths if they are basing 2 A330s and 2 A321s with min crew and if each aircraft flys everyday at 4 flights a day that would be:

330 - 8 crew x 2 = 16
321- 5 crew x 2 = 10
Standby crew per day 4

Crew needed per day 30.

Because its long haul that crew on day one will not be able to be used again until day 6. So 6x30 = 180

So I reckon they will need to recruit roughly, about 200 crew to make the base work.

Any thoughts??

I think the math is quite sound if you give or take the extra crew they might have extra crew for business etc... so I'd say around 200 crew with about 20 being seniors. That being said we don't know how have come over from Aer Lingus too.

I bet it's going to be extremely popular.

Will many from EI come over? I heard a rumour, a rumour that without evidence, that the pay at Lingus U.K. won’t be particularly great. Do we have any idea what the senior CC basic will be?

What was the rumour of pay you heard? I'm used to making £1600-£1900 a month as crew, obviously it depended on how busy the roster was, but it was between that bracket.

The rumour I heard, again no evidence given, was that the U.K. senior basic will be 16k per annum.

I think they would need more crew, because they would need crew for the inbound sectors.

No idea on the salary, but with allowances and commission shouldn’t be too bad.

Does anybody know when the base is to start up? Is it still scheduled for July or have I made that up
