Ryanair reports record profits as O’Leary gets richer

It’s hoped that an impressive financial performance from Ryanair signals job security for thousands of cabin crew, pilots and airline support staff at the budget airline over the next few years. Ryanair currently employs 8,500 people and is hoping to add 1,000 staff this year.
Ryanair has reported a record €503m profit for the year to the end of March 2012, which is a 25% increase on last year. This news comes despite higher fuel costs hitting the airline. However the low-frills airline has forecast lower annual profits of between €400m and € 440m for the next trading

Isle of Man flight services decrease

Direct flights between the Isle of Man and London City will be ceased in April.
Aer Arann airline made the announcement today, and confirmed the service will be stopped on 10 April 2012, with the last flight to be made to London City in the evening.

Thomson announces jobs could be axed

Thomson have announced that a number of cabin crew jobs are at risk - all though the exact figure has not been released.
The Tui Travel-owned carrier informed Unite Union on Tuesday of the decision and will begin a 90-day consultation period with staff and their representatives this month.

Open recruitment days for Emirates

Etihad to recruit more Cabin Crew
