Hi all,
Was hoping someone might know when BA are going to recruit again this year?
Also, when BA started recruiting Different languages Mixed Fleet, and mostly which languages they require? I've they need Korean and Japanese speakers?
Is any Russian or Eastern Europena languages they were require?

To be honest ALL your questions were answered yesterday or this morning except for one.
No we don't recruit people specifically who speak Russian or another Eastern European language.
Read through all the latest posts plus read the sticky thread at the top about Mixed Fleet.
Also google BA recruitment and you will see that yes recruitment is taking place right now for Korean speakers. You can request an automated email when general recruitment restarts. |

Nobody knows an exact timetable for when recruitment will reopen for MF at the moment Lededinsky. It could be later this year or the start of 2013 It is dependant on delivery dates of our A380s and B787's in 2013 along with turnover of crew. There is a small holding pool of people who have been successful and they are awaiting courses but again these are dependant on these delivery dates from Airbus and Boeing. Until recently it was compulsary for everyone to speak another language in addition hence most people on WW and EF speak a whole long list of languages. On WW crew are also based overseas in Japan, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Bahrain, India and many other places specifically for their language and cultural expertise but you have to be from one of these countries and recruitment takes place in the country concerned for these positions.
European languages are useable on almost every flight as many of our customers do not have English as their first language. Languages are a great assett to have and people with languages and customer experience very often do very well in the interviews. We do have a large number of Russian, East European, European language speakers.
If you havent looked already go to ba.com. Scroll down to the bottom and you will see a small link entitled careers and that will give you lots of information about the crew role and will indicate if recruiting. |

Hi there,
Can I ask how you know for sure? There are a lot of posts on here about all of the BMI crew joining so there is not enough work to go around so crew not working hard at the moment so why are they opening recruitment?

Any language is a great asset but the only Haneda and Seoul are recruited specifically for language speakers.
There is no extra payment for language speakers, but an added bonus to your application. |
