I wanted to wish all my mates who were at Sydney recruitment this the best of luck!! I hope they all get in :)

No, there were talks about starting up a Perth base but I believed that it is now off the table for now. The port is out sources to aerocare for guest services.

Hey Guys, I have seen on the forecast and planning. Virgin will be opening a new base in Perth with initially 48 crew and 16 CS's This is scheduled for July this year. 
 

They are planning to hire around 250 crew for Sydney in next 12 months ( 3 schools are currently going through) with more planned.

 

With this kind of expansion this will make Sydney the biggest base in the network.

 

 

There are again many new changes happening at Virgin Blue. This will also get even more interesting now that our CEO is ex QF.

 

I have heard on the grapevine that they are about to announce a huge aircraft order which will possibly include an order for a wide body domestically.

 

interesting and challenging times ahead.

I applied for Virgin blue Melbourne domestic base a couple of weeks ago..got a call from Virgin Blue while I was at work last week..they said they'd call be back next day..but haven't heard anything more - anyone else heard anything?? I wonder when the assessment days would be...
