I failed my AD in May 05, 2012 and I know that the waiting period is six (6) months.

My question is, there is an upcoming Open Day in San Jose, CA in October 27, 2012 which is a few days off to mark my six (6) months waiting period. I was wondering, would it be okay to show up to the Open Day and still be qualified or do I have to wait for a full six (6) months?

Please let me know your input/suggestions or based from your past experiences

If theres anything after the 6days in your country I would wait for that. Some of the dates of the open days have changed, and new dates for Nov. will be posted soon so watch and wait. The best policy with M.E airlines is to always play by the rules lol.

BUT...as its a few days before, I think you will be fine. I've read posts from people on here who have gone a month early and been waived through so I think 6days will be fine. Also, its not an AD. Just an open day. For all you know, your A.D might be after those 6days anyway.

I'll be reapplying in October too. I'm applying for the A.D on the 16th in London which will be 6days after my 6months is up so I know how you feel lol.

Who knows, if we get it, we could be in the same training batch

I might as well give it a try.

I'm pretty sure, there are other Open Days all throughout the USA but I live in California so traveling our of the state will be quite pricey.
