Longhaul destinations at the moment are;
Cancun, Puerta Plata (Dom Rep), Punta Cana (Dom Rep), Varadero (Cuba), Holguin (Cuba), Jamaica, Barbados (winter season only), Florida (we use Sanford airport), Goa (winter season only), Mombasa and Maldives. I think I have covered all destinations. Obviously with the 787 coming new longhaul destinations will come.
It's worth knowing that as the 787 becomes more integrated, the 767's will be leaving the fleet.
Getting longhaul straight away if you were to get a job with Thomson Airways really depends on the needs of that year. |

Hi GalleyGuy,
It all depends what base your going for, If in the future Manchester recruite or you want Gatwick then yeah your more than likely going to be on the 767, But if your going to be based at Doncaster or somewhere like that then your only going to be based on the 737-800, Completly depends what A/C are at that base for that season.
For example if you were to be based at Manchester this year, Then you would be on the 767 as its not only doing LongHaul, Infact there havign 5 767 based at Manchester, And they will be doing all the Long Haul routes as well as your Palmas, Mahon, Rhodes, etc... there even sending a 767 down to sharm this year.
Hope this helps :) |
