Just to let you know, you don't have to write in any more. Just call 0845 300 0627 and listen to the menu and select the option for tax codes. Just have your national insurance number ready and they change your code there and then. Takes about 5 mins to do.

Hi guys, I have just spoke to the tax office, and we may be able to claim back the cost of the US Visa & Yellow fever ect, as they are classed as a work expense, not a personal expense.

You need to write a letter stating name, address, contact detail, National Insurance number, Employer Details and your staff number, plus what you want to claim for (ie) Jumpers x 2 @ £38, Pair of gloves & scarf @ £xx, extra shirts/blouses, US Visa cost £90, yellow fever £45... ect ect

The address you need to write to is :
HM Revenue & Customs
Pay As You Earn
PO Box 1970
Liverpool
L75 1WX

Worth trying for cost of a stamp, worse they can say is no

Did you explain that working for BA you have to pay for your own dry cleaning - They give you roughly £400 for dry cleaning. - My tax code changed from 747L to 785L - i'd call back

Yes and make sure that you do not miss out your chance to claim for uniform tax rebate. I did it and I received £641 tax rebate. If you are going to make a claim for uniform laundry allowance/uniform tax rebate first time, then you can make claim in a very convenient way such as: uniform tax refund online service. Just go on: www.TaxBoomerang.co.uk for more.

Tax boomerang - are you a fee charging service?

This is so easy to claim for. Anyone reading this really does not need to enlist the help of a fee charging company.

I get confused with income tax forms etc.. and that is why I had used that service. It was just easy way for me.

Does anyone have some successful stores?
