| What things will be required for the training? Eg. Do you need a black strap watch? |

| Yes, amongst a long list of things. Email them and ask for a list - we were emailed ours after we'd arrived! |

I am, yes :) I've been in the job 6 weeks now and I really like it! The training was HARD, LONG, and at times very, very boring, but the people you'll meet are fantastic and make it so much better.
If you have any questions, just ask, I'm usually around when I'm not working ;) |

| Where are you based? Do they try and base you where you want to go? |

| I'm based in Edinburgh, I was very, very lucky - they do not base you where you want, unless you ask, and even then they put you where they need you. You have to be willing to relocate to ANY of their bases :) |

How did they go around basing you? Where did everyone else in your group get based? I am prepared to go anywhere but i'd prefer to go to Europe just for the experience and i know most people in my group are wanting to stop within the UK. :) Also,
How quickly did you start work after the course? Did you have time to find accommodation etc? |

I have NO idea how they base people - everyone from our course was based in the UK, and everyone on the course before us were based in Italy.
We started work the week after the course, but I know it can be up to two weeks. Finding accommodation was definitely the hardest part, there is limited internet in Hahn, and most people don't want you to sign a lease on a place unless you've visited it.
My advice on the housing is to get your parents/relatives/friends involved - the more people you have looking for you the better. :) |

hi!
The course is set up into two sections, Initial and Conversion - they both work the same way.
Initial 1 is taught, and then the daily test is given the next morning - then initial 2 starts and so on.
The daily tests are not THAT important, they are more of an indicator as to whether or not you'll pass the exams. I have a very, very good memory so I didn't find any of it particularly hard, but the questions and answers are very specific. My advice is to READ READ READ and LEARN LEARN LEARN.
Cabin shoes for women need to be black, they need to be leather or to look like leather - no swede or gloss or shiny, and they have to be plain, no bows, buckles ect. Heels should be between 2-3 inches. |
