quick question:
How does the background check work? Do they contact employers directly or is it done by documents?
I had a lot of trouble with the process of background checks when I was employed by British Airways Mixed Fleet as they took about 4 months to process everyones (delaying start date).
Just wanted to know the process of it all as it does not ask for emails or contact on the form.
And what supporting documents do you bring?
Thank you :)
I too am ex BA staff from yrs bk and now Norwegian. Unlike BA you supply them a small amount of the Documents yourself to kinda get the ball rolling. So like BA it's list of last 5 yrs employment etc and if gaps longer than 28 day this can be covered by Jobcentre plus letter or personal ref if say you were travelling.
I am all done on mine except, yes you guessed it.. BA's ref... but Norwegian seem far my pushy with them and get results so I am not sure you will have issues. I start on 15th Mar.
My partner is MF at mo and loves the flying but hates MF and BA
I've selected to attend the 14/03/17 assessment day at gatwick. Im waiting to hear back from them with their confirmation that ill be on that day so i can hurry up and book my hotel room!
They have asked for very specific documentation for the previous 5 years check. Im worrying that I wont be able to gather all the documents especially the education ones. Does anyone know are they flexible with the documents you provide? or would they turn you away at the AD if you have a document which proves you were at Uni but isnt the specific type of document they suggest in the notes??
Also does anyone know anything about what its like working for norwegian??
- are layovers regular?
- do crew get allowance for layovers and is it cash?
- ive heard their rosters chang frequently in the month, is this true?
- i dont know the greater london area AT ALL and have ZERO idea of where i would live if i move down there!!
thanks to anyone who can advise x
I had my Assessment day last Thursday 23rd Feb.
I received a job offer by phone yesterday 27th Feb, with a start date April 3rd.
I hope this helps.
Simon
I hated BA if i am honest. I love flying just hated the company!
especially with all these strikes going on!
Hope BA get back to norwegian for you!
Best of luck
I'm really struggling finding documents to support my employment history.
Anyone know how i can get a 5 year tax employment statement?
stressing out!
And who else has an interview for 14th march? EXCITED :)
