You ALWAYS have to attend an assessment day and there are no exceptions to this rule. When you apply online they may invite you to an assessment day so you have to go anyway. When it comes to age, opinions are divided. From what I've heard they normally take younger people, in their twenties, sometimes if you have some experience they will take people a the age of 30-32 but it's much harder to get in at that age but of course you may mesmerize them so apply anyway!
