Hey everyone!

My final interview with Qatar Airways is tomorrow morning and I'd just like to hear from someone who has worked with them if they really are as bad as earlier post says.

I know people that work for them. I know people that work for EK too. I know that you get to see lots of ex QK cc attending EK OD's and you never see ex EK cabin crew attending QK OD's.

They are strict. Doha is not that exciting as Dubai.

You get around 10 000 ryials a month. You get to travel all over the worlds. You meet people from all over the place. You get furnished accomodation. Transport. You dont have to worry about nothing. Is this really this bad?

If someone thinks this is bad, I encourage them to try to work on crusie ships, where you work min 70h/week, no days off, you sleep in a room of 4 people with no windows. You barely get off ship, during 8-monyh contract. And you get $1200. now compare it to QK, and tell me it is bad.

Thank you for replying. Because all my initial excitement was wearing off because of all the bad things I heard about them. I think that all the benefits of working with them outweighs all of the strict rules and regulations. So if I get accepted (fingers crossed). I will definitely take the offer.

Its personal. Some people love working for Qatar. A lot of people cant stand it. It depends on the person. They are very strict. Their cabin crew have a curfew they have to be back in their apartments by a certain time every night (even if they are not flying the next day or on annual leave) and they have a 12hr curfew which means their crew are not allowed to leave their apartments in the 12hrs before a flight.

Its not for everyone. But if you arent much of a partier and dont stay out late anyway then it can be ok. Doha is strict in itself though.

I would give it a lot of thought, maybe visit Doha if you havent already and get a feel for the place because if you join Qatar and decide its not for you, you have to wait a year after your resignation before you can even apply to another middle eastern airline. But you might love it and it could turn out to be the best thing you ever did.

Its not really something anyone can answer for you. Good luck!

No. They might be strict for security reasons, because Doha is not really so safe, otherwise, I don't think there's any kind of problems between the company and their staff. But QA is only good for experience, because so many people prefer working for Emirates.

Emirates is the GREATEST AIRLINE.
