Interesting comments made by BA "the level of growth in Mixed Fleet has
reduced versus our previous estimates which has had a direct influence on
our route transfer decisions for Summer 2012."

The route transfers have just been announced for the Summer.

The thread entiled New Route transfers announced explains details. MF gets BOS and LAX. Worldwide LHR sees the return of PHX and SAN along with extra daily flights to HKG, JFK, JNB,and Moscow 3 times per day . Eurofleet LHR sees the return of BUD and Tripoli from MF.

Everyone also now has to wait for the final decisions on bmi as mainline bmi is to be integrated into BA when the legal authorities hopefully clear the take over.

No. Mixed Fleet will naturally grow bigger over time as NO new crew will ever be put onto WW and E/F again. As we retire or as BA expands it's route network, Mixed Fleet will always be getting bigger as we all shrink.

Boston and Los Angeles both have three flights a day! That is a lot of crew! So to allow those routes to be crewed by Mixed Fleet the PHX and SAN have returned to WW and the BUD to E/F. Overall though this is still an increase in Mixed Fleet work.

I personally think it is good that routes are moving back and forth between the fleets. I also think it is good that BA are keeping their promise to monitor the routes and make sure all crew have enough work and a fair variety of routes.

There will always be people on both sides that are unhappy about the routes they decide to move over from one fleet to another! I hear that some WW crew are sad about losing LAX but I personally, would not have been unhappy with that, equally it works the other way too, some Mixed Fleet crew will be happy, some will not.

P.S. I always really loved BOS, so you will enjoy that city. As East Coast trips go, it is one of the best.

Well said LM

The intention was always to move routes back and to but many disbelieved it and there lies the problem if the truth be known.

We saw Amsterdam and Atlanta move back before Christmas. Now we will see the return of PHX and SanDiego which will be long range for us and triggering extra days off down route so we will lose yes a great trip ie LAX but gain 4 and 5 days PHX and SanDiego' s.

Sadly the government went ahead with the airport departure tax and this has impacted on growth. Sickness has dropped on WW and EF and imbalances in crewing ranks has now been sorted so more work can be placed into WW and EF. Again adding to LM comments, next year we will see the introduction of bigger aircraft and these will require more crew so expansion is going to happen for all fleets.

Clearly this goes towards illustrating that BA are genuine in keeping to their obligations. It will be some time before everyone trusts them, but it is perhaps another step in the right direction.

I believe this also. The trips returning to Worldwide are very good ones ie Phoenix and San Diego and are returning as 4 and 5 day trips and not as some are trying to say nighstops. They are to be worked to the Worldwide agreement.

Too bad Phoenix is not a daily flight and although San Diego is daily, it's just one and on a 777, while Los Angeles in the summer will be a thrice daily on a 747 with two of them hitting a Box 2...upwards and onwards...

Jumbo boy MF do not get Box payments as Box payments are part of the LHR Worldwide contract. MF are paid hourly rate from report to clear time. Phoenix becomes 4 and 5 day trips when it returns to Worldwide and with Box payments. San Diego becomes 4 day trips on Worldwide and with Box payments.

2 of the LAX are B747 and the other will be B777
