Thank-you darling loved your comment!!
Don't worry, you don't have to prepare a proof of your volunteer work. My recruiters asked for it but never took my proof of copy; it really depends on your recruitment team. I prepared it so it shows that I am sincere about the interview and that I am organized :)
It's all the little things that you do that counts!! |

Nice text but... You're not a recruiter and you haven't received your GC yet, so I don't really get how you can be so confident about what it takes to make it through the recruitement? There are many different ways to make it through an OD/AD/FI, as many different personalities and strenghts would fit for the job.
I went on an OD on the 7th of January and got my GC on the 23rd, so I'd like to react on a few points.
Cover letter?
I didn't have any, nor most of the people that attended my OD.
CV?
Everyone had to bring one. And I'm pretty sure that's it's the main tool they use to make the first cut. So work on it and have a CV focused on any experience that'd help your application.
Proof of volunteer work?
They never asked for anything like that.
That said, my only tip would be: Be yourself.
And good luck! |

Hey people,
Does anyone know if it´s allowed to apply some days before the end of 6 months ban? My OD was on 12.08.2011., and I´m thinking of applying on 08.02.2012.or 11.02.2012, since the locations and the dates suit me.
Thanks in advance
sweetmissy, i read that u should also smile on the passport photos in a forum |

Hi Yana,
Yes, what prettyinpunk says is true. However, one extra word to say is that if you are turned down at the Open Day, you can still attend more, whenever you want. There is no restriction. For example, there is an Open Day in Milan in a few days' time (which I'll be going to), so you could try there as well, if you wanted to (if you're not successful of course).
Good luck!
CHRIS. |

Hi. I am also applying for Emirates. I am a flight attendant for a major U.S. Airlines and looking for a new experience. Here in the United States, there are no age restrictions, does Emirates usually hire very young people or are they diverse in hiring different age groups? Also, do they have other bases offered other than Dubai? Last, what do you think is the percentage of male flight attendants they hire compared to women?
Thank You for your responses. I'm attending the 1st interview here in the USA next week. I'm very excited, but I'm sure it will be a different experience from my current profession as a flight attendant with my current airline.
More questions, please.
Why a 3 yr. contract?
What's the pay monthly in US Dollars? I saw a post that said $1000/month. If this is true, starting salary here in the USA with a major airline is approx. $19,000 USD. |
