Hi everyone

I have been invited to an assessment day for ‘Gatwick Fleet’. First of all I thought this was mixed fleet but I’m unsure as to what it entails long or short haul! The job description doesn’t clarify this. I just wondered whether gatwick based crew have specific routes?!

Thank you!

Aw thanks for that!

Yeah I noticed on the job description that it was both long and short haul the same as mixed fleet. I just wondered why one was called mixed fleet and one just Gatwick fleet.

Wondered if there was a better one in terms of getting less short haul flights?!

As a commuter it's obviously desired to have more long haul!

Thanks for the reply!!

Mixed fleet means a mixture of long and short haul flights all out of LGW

Mixed Fleet is at Heathrow! And it means you could be licensed to operate a mixed combination of 3 different aircraft. Single Fleet (always A319, A320 and B777) is Gatwick, and yes that is short and long haul combined.

hi, I've an assessment dasy for LGW. I know that this base is a mixed fleet but I've really no idea of what a typical month might look like in terms of working pattern and also rough pay.
I did fly for bmed but that was some time ago.

They do explain it all during the assessment day! There will be a presentation where they explain absolutely everything before you start

I'm aware both crews fly together in this fleet, but are new crew rostered to work more hours over the month? Is their days off pattern different?

Best of luck for your assessment day! When is it?

They give a presentation at the beginning of the assessment day which explains everything. They show you an example roster and talk about the basic salary, bonuses and elapsed hourly pay.
Don't make me walk when I want to fly.

Hi everyone, I have been invited to the assessment day for Gatwick Main Crew and I am just wondering what a typical monthly roster is like as I will be commuting to Gatwick? Is it more long haul than short haul flights as this Is something I would prefer having commuting there?
