#1  Fused Spine?  Posted 03/07/2012 at 07:54
Hey guys, I am wishing to apply to be cabin crew (and have prior experience) but have a fused spine (metal rods either side) and wonder if this will prohibit me from applying and/or passing the medical assessment?

I am still very flexible, physically fit and feel that I would be up for doing the job perfectly well (previously when I was cabin crew was before I had the operation), the only main concern that I have is that I set off the airport scanners crazy when I go through security, other than the embarrassment of having to explain before every flight about my spine would it be a major issue enough to stop me getting the job?

I have a very good (ground based) job at the moment but still itching to get back in the air.

Any help you guys can give or any contact details would be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys x
