Flybe wages higher in channel islands than UK?

Hi. I have applied for flybe in guernsey, where the cost of living is greater than the UK. I went to the interview, where I was told the wages, and to be honest I was shocked how low they are. Do you think the pay might be different in guernsey than the UK and they forgot to mention it? (ie. a 3 bed house in UK roughly £900 to rent per month, in guernsey your lucky to get a 1 bed apartment for under £900)
