As far as I'm concerned, both airlines recruit people world wide so there's no preference to dark haired/Asian looking girls. There are plenty of blond girls working for both airlines and they're both famous for having multi-national crew so you needn't
worry! Good luck x |

One girl I spoke to on here, who'd just been hired by Emirates, was as blonde-haired and blue-eyed as you could possibly be, so, if not the 'norm', her example is certainly encouraging.
Good luck,

Hi there,
Yes, I believe she did. I asked her that question myself (to try to console myself that someone else had failed at least one time before succeeding - but I failed in that mission!!), and I remember that she went there just the one time and was lucky enough
to be chosen. I suppose that it does show one thing: if you're good enough, and you make the right impression, she's proof that it *can* happen (first time lucky). So go for it!
She left a few weeks ago, at the start of this year.
Best of luck!

And another thing, doubt all you want, but you've really got nothing to lose.
For one thing, if you don't apply, as everyone knows, that's the only CERTAIN way to NOT get chosen.
Second, I am 34, with no experience at all in an aeroplane, and on my application, and my C.V., too, come to think of it, there was no mention of any customer-service work (even though I do have some, from years and years ago), but I was still invited to an
Assessment Day.
Third, so many people say on here "I was SURE I'd get through"or "I felt really confident I'd done a good job/made a good impression"....and they failed. Perhaps you may have the golden light shining upon you? Give everything, but expect nothing!

| I was concerned about their preferred look/ appearance also ! I've watched their recruitment videos online and everyone looks different which is reassuring. I don't have the typical "all american" look and I feared that is one thing they would look for
in candidates when they come here. |

Hey there!
To be honest, when I looked at your profile the other day, and noticing that you were from the U.S., I thought that you could be exactly the kind of ethnicity that they'd find appealing: it's hard to know where you come from, judging by your photo, and I think
that's a really good thing, considering that Emirates seeks to embrace all cultures.
Anyway, turn up and go for it! Give it your best shot and let us know what happens!
Take care!

I am blonde and still got the job from Emirates and the acceptance mail to attend the AD with Etihad!!!!!! I am leaving on the 8th of April
If they were looking for girls with dark hair or Asian looking they would perform ODs only in such countries....they wouldn.t search for people in the UK or Australia where the majority of people are blonde!!! So no worries! |
