Hi everyone :) I recieved my golden call from emirates 4 days ago after waiting 16 weeks to hear anything from them I had given up and it was a fantastic surprise

Anyway, I've logged onto the selected candidates portal today, and seen this message:

Please note due to high demand, company accommodation is currently unavailable, you will therefore be required to take the Accommodation Allowance. You will be provided with 3 weeks hotel accommodation upon arrival in Dubai this is to assist you with making arrangements to find your own accommodation. After you join, you may contact our Facilities Management Department and request to be placed on the company accommodation waitlist, this does not guarantee however that you will be allocated an apartment, it is important therefore to still find your own accommodation.

I haven't heard of this before.. Is anyone in the same situation?

That doesn't apply to Cabin Crew nor Flight crew. Read the headline of that e mail... you will be staying in a hotel at first and relocated to one of company provided accommodation.

Congrats :)
