i think it depends. you're right though, their medicals are very tough! One of my friends failed the medical because the doctor had prescribed her tablets for acne 4 years ago! wtf?!

I know you say you havent had a seizure for 6 years but do you still need to carry medazolam or anything similar with you? and what kind of seizures did you have? I think for some reason they take tonic clonics more seriously.

Hey guys, I got my GC back in April, but I'm barely finishing up my medicals. On the portal, a question popped up, "How long do I have to complete my medicals?" and the answer was "Two weeks from receiving your contract." I didn't know this!! Is this strict? Otherwise they would have contacted me months ago...

Hi, hope your all good,

I am currently completing my medicals

I recieved my GC end of May, and signed my contract

online beggining of June,

My Hospital here in the UK has delayed me big time with giving me my

blood test results, this has impacted me as

I havent been able to upload all my medical docs on the candidate portal

I have done all my x rays, dental records, and optical reports

all that is left is the blood test results being uploaded.

HR team in Dubai has e-mailed me asking me to upload my docs ASAP

due to the fact I am currently employed and have a 4 weeks notice period,

however Emirates have not told me I have exceeded 2 weeks deadline to complete my medicals as they can see me uploading my results as I go along

They have just sent me gentle reminders and I have sent replies back advising them of the progress.

Its been long, however I actually enjoyed going through the process...

I dont think the timescale is strictly adhered to its just there to get people to get them done as quick as possible, Ideally they would like things moving ASAP

my DOJ is 19/7/10

Anyone else...?

Cant WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Warm greetings everyone. I have a problem with the candidate portal. I accepted the contract online last Tuesday, I have uploaded the documents but as I proceeded in medical section. Unfortunately, I could not download the link wherein I can download the medical firm. Any idea what to do aside from addressing the problem to them. Did anyone experience this one? Thank you. I'm just worried I can't make it before deadline perhaps doj.

Many people have this problem. It depends on what browser you are using. It has opened in Internet Explorer for me.

Hi all,

My name is Greg from Australia.

I am going through the medical process at the moment. One mighty confusing process to say the least.

Do you have to pay for the medical if you go to one of the doctors listed or is it free?

Please let me know your experience ASAP.

Greg
