Hi,

this just to give an update as no one talked about it yet.

EK is calling all candidates to withdraw the contract that was signed online due to COVID-19. once they will recruit again, process has to start again from the beginning. Yes it's sad.

On other side, Etihad is hiring and sending to book date to pass an interview for 15 min face to face.

if you are about to have it let me know to go for details.

hello,

yes I have received the below email from Emirates on 10/05

Dear LAMIYAA,

Thank you for successfully completing the digital interview. However due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we have postponed all our cabin crew recruitment activities.
We will notify you of the next steps when operations resume.

Thank you for your interest in a career with Emirates.

Kind Regards
Cabin Crew Recruitment Team

and Etihad are sending digital interview invitations

There's some word going around that a large percentage of the A380 fleet will be permanently retired as they move towards operating just the A350/787 in the future.

With that being said, this means there will be a large part of the workforce being made redundant, resulting in permanent layoffs. The rumor going around is cabin crew over 60 years of age and crew with many sick calls and/or poor performance are to be cut.

I have a feeling it will be another year or two, at least, until they think about actively recruiting again.

Best of luck to everyone waiting for their DOJ and to those currently flying as EK crew.
