I have searched but can’t find the answer. I was wondering if there would ever be an option to fly part-time out of LGW (or any other base) and if so, how would that work please?
Thank you so much in advance for any info!
All the best
There are many different options for going part time, yes. I was hoping someone a bit more knowledgable was going to reply, because I don't know much about part time. I think you need to have worked for the company for maybe a year before you request part time.
You can go 50% or 75%, and possibly set days now too. What that means is you get 50% or 75% of your basic salary, but more days off. If you're 75%, you can still fly the same number of hours a year, so longer days, but more time off.
50% you are allowed to fly half as much, unless you ask to have the restrictions lifted. So fly like a full time crew with twice as many days off; or fly like crazy with twice as many days off.
I'll try and ask about how long you have to wait, and set days. :)
that's great info. Thank you very much for your reply!
Also was great to see a sample roster on someone else's post. Very useful information. Now just need to get through the AD.....
Thanks again and all the best!
Can you post the sample part time roster?
Thanks!
I haven't seen a part-time roster but somewhere on this forum someone posted a full-time one some time back. You would need to do a search for it though as I don't remember exactly where I saw it.
Take care
