Please post here details of any shops, clubs & pubs, leisure clubs, hotels, restaurants etc that offer discounts to cabin crew and others working in the travel industry! Great for this time of the year when everyone is living on a budget after christmas and new year! Smile

I'll get the ball rolling anyway, alot of large hotel groups offer discounts to cabincrew, travel agents etc. Intercontinental hotels (Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn etc) offer a discounted rate that can be booked in advance via central reservations or though the hotel direct. Macdonald Hotels do B&B for £25.00 pppn but can only be booked as far as 48 hours in advance.

If you want to stay in a hotel, its always worth phoning hotels that are part of a group / chain and checking if they do a travel industry rate.

Car hire firms - Call your staff travel some times they have a code you have to quote or a dedicated phone number - if they have neither give the main reservation number a call and ask, some times you get good discounts up to 30% in the USA

I get a corporate discount on my gym membership with what used to be Living Well (in Luton), it's now a Bannatyne's, because I work for TUI UK.

Daronne5, I think once you have your LGW ID you can use that to purchase a discount card at the airport station.  I think if you are going to be using  the train then it works out decent.  I have heard.  I don't use the train that regular

On the note of train travel at Gatwick (because i know) you have to apply for the discount card online stating the start and end journey it'll be for ... where you live and gatwick .... then at the airport they'll print it for you, you will need some kind of confirmation from your job (like a short letter) and then you get 33% off your travel - it doesnt apply to gatwick express though, but any other train that travels where you live you can get on (like them virgin trains etc) I HOPE THIS HELPS Smile

p.s - they dont apply for london
