In reply to post #633...
I would suggest that you contact recruitment to check as they can be quite hot on these things!

Greetings everyone, I'm a foreign BA cabin crew hopeful from Namibia and I got my assessment invite yesterday afternoon. Since I'm not a British national I'd like to ask the following: Do I need to apply for a working visa beforehand? What are all the necessary documents I need to take with on my assessment day?

Hi just wondered if any South African educated crew can help? I'm British but did secondary education in Durban and need to find an official source to verify that my NSC is equivalent to UK's GCSE's. I wondered if anyone else had had to do this and who they would suggest I contact?!

Many thanks!

Hi All, I am due to start with BA as long haul mixed fleet at LGW. I am finding it so hard to get an honest answer to the most consistent or approx take home monthly pay. I would so sppreciate an honest answer. I understand it varies with flying hours but would be so grateful for an honest approx figure. Thank you

Which aircraft do Mixed fleet new recruits get trained on? And does anyone have an updated list of MF destinations? So excited to start :)

Hi guys! I have learnt to swim so I can soon apply to be cabin crew for BA’s mixed fleet at Heathrow.

My question is when swimming the 50m, is any stroke allowed? Specifically can I breast stroke the length? I suck at front crawl but can swim breast stroke well!

If anyone can actually give me details of everything that is examined during the whole exercise use that would amazing as it would be a great help to know what to focus on whilst I’m still taking swimming lessons. How long do we tread water for, etc? Do we have to be able to inflate the jacket whilst in deep water? How deep is the pool? How much is with life jackets on?

I want to feel fully prepared with all the right requirements before applying ??

Thank you to anyone who takes the time to reply!

Hey everyone... 2 questions. Feel free to answer one, both or none.

1. What is reserve/stand by like for new cabin crew at LHR and how does it work? Are you on standby the whole month and only fly when needed or are you given a mix of trips and stand by days through out the month?

2. I see lots of people saying they passed assessment day were told they would hear back this autumn about tentative training dates in 2020. Are training dates really that far out? Has anyone heard if those who applied for World Class Mixed Fleet Experienced Cabin Crew, would they get an earlier training date?

Hello,

I'm ex-MF and about to start with Virgin!

Wondering if someone could please help me out with a current phone number for the BA referencing team as the one I have is no longer in use.

Thanks!!

Im going to apply for BA in the next recruitment drive. Im unsure if I should apply for LHR or LGW. As far as i understand they both operate a mixed fleet style model.
Would the main differences be more limited routes at LGW and perhaps length of time down route?

Any advise appreciated.

Thanks guys
