Hey everyone!
I have my training with BA on the 12th July for 6 weeks and as I am from 'up north' I am looking for somewhere to stay for that time. I anyone else starting on that date or think they may be able to help me?

| Hey, I got the email the other day saying we haven't forgotten about all of you in the Hold Pool, and they anticipate courses in the Autumn. Does anyone know anything more? Xx |

I got that e-mail aswell on the 29th of May. Have you heard anything back? And does this defiantly mean that we will get training? |

You are being held in the 'POOL' and people are held here until courses are available to assign you to. There are people under training as we speak who will be coming on line in July / August. All the bmi crew also have to go through some training and we need as many people on line to fly due to the Olympics and para Olympics. Most people in training and selection itself have to fly also. Once the Winter schedule is finalised then there will be a plan as to how many crew we need and the necessary courses put in place.People are leaving / retiring/ going on maternity etc all the time and they also have to be replaced or covered for. The Head of Dept has said he expects MF to grow to about 2000 by the end of the year and there are 1600 MF crew at the moment. Most of the bmi crew have chosen to go to Eurofleet at LHR so decisions on routes will have to be looked at. As you are getting emails from the team it shows you certainly have not been forgotten about. Please don't forget you have done brilliantly to be successful and the reason you are in the holding 'Pool' is because you are wanted but there just aren't courses available at the moment. |

Hi all
I'm in the 'holding pool' for gatwick cabin crew and was given the date of 5th June to start training. However other people have been given dates recently and I want to know what order it goes in (assessment day or application time) as I'm afraid I have been missed out? HELP!
Any comments would be great!

Well you haven't been missed out if you have a date. Do you mean the 5 June this year ( already passed!)or next year or have you mistyped!
Sometimes they give the short notice dates to people with less complicated work history as the referencing is less complicated.
If you have had an overseas job or have a lot of different employers, they leave a little extra time, as your CRB checks and references will take longer. |
