AD (for LGW) was 22nd Nov. Told I was successful 7th Dec. Still awaiting a start date. Have recently been advised by BA recruiting to be patient .........

Had my AD 24th January ... 3 weeks later and still not heard anything .. is this normal? The suspense is killing me

I had my AD yesterday and I made it to the interview stage with 10 others. I tbought that the interview went well.

However I received an email from BA this morning saying that I have been unsuccessful. Bitterly disappointed.

So sorry to hear you were unsuccessful. Are you going to try again?

Anyone else confused about new start dates and where to go?

Initially given a SkyPeople date and separate BA start date. BA then changed to one start date. Onboarding doc says 1st day is at Gatwick then with Sky People for 6 days at Heathrow. Accomadtion provided. SkyPeople onboarding says start date is 5th March, not 6th and not at location directed by BA.

If your start date is after March, then you’ll be in the apprenticeship program which means you will no longer attend SkyPeople. You’ll be employed by BA from day 1(hence only one start date).
I think Gatwick crew do all SEP training at LHR and accommodation is provided, and the remainder of training is at LGW, however just give them a call to clarify it all.

Just wondering if anyone else is in the same situation or been through similar.

I had an assessment for World Class LHR on 6th Feb and got all the way through. They said to wait 7-10 days to find out the outcome however it’s been 10 days and I still haven’t heard anything.

Would you contact them or just continue to wait?

Hi Chrissie. Thanks for your kind words. This will take me a while to get over...really wanted the job, but screwed up the interview and this is ultimately what cost me so although I'm trying to be positive, it's hard to be upbeat. I think nerves played a big part and couldn't deliver effectively in the interview.

I really want to try again, but there are no guarantee's that I'll even make it that far. It's remarkably difficult.

I wish you all the luck in the world. My tips would be just to be yourself and be confident in your own abilities and try your best not to be nervous.
