Does anyone know what a standard day of training is like? What time does it normally start/finish etc... thank you :)

Anyone starting mixed fleet training on the 11th January?

The question about start times:
Normally 8:30 ish to about 4:30 ish

The latest I ever finished was about 6pm
The earliest I ever finished was about 12pm

On 2 of the days we started at 7/7:30am
On 2 of the days we started at 10:30

So it varies but generally they’re pretty decent about it.
There is a hell of a lot to cover though, so some days you might want to arrive early to review the homework again or some days stay late to work at the computers together.

It seems weird for them to have given you a date, but April does sound realistic.
I did my asssessment day in April, filled my referencing details in really quick and they didn’t even start them for 2-3 months.
I started my training in September, about 5 months.

BA use outside security referencing companies - called either Security Watchdog or Procius.
The best advice I can give is to get ready to be politely insistent.
They deal with a lot of accounts, so you just have to make sure you’re at the top of their list.
And brief all your referees - they’ll get a call first to confirm they’re the best person for the request to go to.
I had issues with Security Watchdog writing the email down wrong following this call, even though I’d provided the correct one when they asked for it online.
They then didn’t chase when there was no reply.
Three weeks later I called up and asked her for all the names and email addresses for who she had contacted.
I called around myself and two of them were wrong - so be proactive and chase as soon as they’re sent.

If there are any delays make sure you find out when your CRC expires because they don’t think to do that. You then fix the delay only to find your CRC has now expired.

But the more proactive you are the better.
