#1  Assessment Day - March 6th  Posted 21/02/2012 at 21:57
Hey guys,my first ever post here!
I have an AD on 6th March and i am so nervous! I had an AD with British Airways last year to which i was unsuccessful, are the days similar?
Also, should hair be up? Or are they lenient on hairstyles as long as your overall presentation is smart and well groomed?

Thank you,

Hi All,

I applied on the 15th and am still waiting. Cant wait. Have my fingers crossed.

I worked for Thomson Airways for 2 seasons so i can give you some info on what that was like:
It began with meeting all the other candidates whilst being observed. They wanted to see how you interacted with others.
We then had a maths test (easy calculations) then there was a cut, where some people were sent home.
Then we done a group activity, presented a radio show.
We then done role play. On our own with the assessors.
Ther was then another cut. Whoever was left got an interview.

An amazing day. Great experience.

Hope this helps.

xx

Hi all,

I have had my AD and there are a few threads on here that will tell you all about it.

My top tips..... Be yourself.... Keep smiling as you never know who is watching.

the day usually only has between 10 and 20 people and no one is sent home in sections you go through the whole day.

Good luck all.
I have made the leap from my life with Thomson and cant wait to start my adventure with Virgin.
more excited every day for the adventure that awaits at the end of the rainbow.... in the red stripe!

That sounds much better. Was horrible to see people go home through out the day.

It was really helpful to see other posts on here which make it clear that Virgin is all about the personality of the people as oposed to experience and qualifications.

I had to give Thomson up as it was only seasonal. Has always been a dream of mine to work for Virgin. Really cant wait to hear.
