Hi guys,

I recently secured a role with United Airlines and having my 5 year background check complete now.

I'm just worried, I've handed my notice in at my current job etc.

I lived in Australia between 2015-2016 and I have references for that period for the most part. Except February 2016 - August 2016. I flew home in May so I was unemployed until beginning of September and I spent my last couple of months in Aus doing rural work etc - but under the radar.

Will this period of 7 months be a huge issue?

Also the fact the majority of my jobs from Australia and back were part-time - I don't know if this is an issue as well?

Any advice would be really appreciated. :)

Every company does it differently. In my case they asked me for a gap letter.
That can be done by someone that have been wirh you for that period you don't have references for.
It can be done by a friend or a family member. For example, if you spent 3 months with your family they can confirm this.
Aswell as when you were doing rural work.
That made easier the reference stage so I hope your company allows it too :)
Good luck!
