We understand how tough it can be to break into the aviation industry. So many people want to become cabin crew that sometimes you can feel as though you’re up against the world when it comes to nailing that all important interview!

Luckily there are other ways of getting your foot in the door – not necessarily as cabin crew immediately but taking up a position in another area of the company could stand you in good stead when a cabin crew vacancy comes up as you’ll have experience that other applicants won’t necessarily have.

Many airlines now run graduate schemes to help people get in the career ladder – and low-cost airline easyJet is no exception.

They have graduate vacancies in everything from Marketing and PR to Finance and Operations, and plenty of ways to get involved.

They are currently looking for highly talented people to join their European Graduate Programme who have the right combination of business awareness, analytical insight and commercial acumen to help drive their business forward.

With the ability to strive for results, maximise resources, add value and increase profitability, easyJet Graduates should be passionate, care about what they do and have a real sense of fun!

As a member of the easyJet European Graduate Programme you will spend the next two or so years fully involved in the business, with graduate opportunities in Operations, Finance, Engineering, IT, Sales, Marketing and HR.

You will be in control of your own career path and go through a fast learning and development programme in a growing business, learning from industry leading people and being exposed to business critical projects.

You will undertake a series of assignments during the programme, and with each assignment you will agree your learning objectives with your assignment manager in line with the overall direction of the programme. Both your progress and your performance will be discussed with you at the end of each assignment, with plans put in place to help you realise your career ambitions.

The programme will deliver a truly international experience as the airline says it will offer the opportunity to work with people from many different nationalities, be based in our main office in the London area and in other network locations such as France, Italy, Germany, Spain or Switzerland.

To apply, you must be a recent graduate, or about to graduate, with an excellent academic record, be willing to relocate and have a genuine interest in other countries and cultures.

Many other airlines offer similar opportunities and schemes so if this sounds like something you might be interested in then don’t hesitate to have a look around – a dream career with your favourite airline could be right around the corner!
